Maria Elena Claros is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Endocrinology and Women’s Health. She provides compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care with a focus on education and prevention.

Originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia, Maria Elena earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Privada del Valle before moving to the U.S., where she gained over 13 years of clinical and administrative experience. She later completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY, graduating Cum Laude and receiving honors for her research on healthcare students’ sleep patterns.

Fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, she connects easily with diverse patients. Her clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, women’s health, obesity management, and preventive care.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, learning new languages, cooking, photography, and spending time with her husband and son.
